Think about how to get rid of it.
Resolution, framerate, bit rate, and color depth so high the actual figures are irrelevant.
Wiring irrelevant (save only power). Either wireless, or "anything goes".
Effortless 3D (glasses-less, lenticular, and/or head tracking).
Minimal, intuitive interface (barely-there remote, or iPad like).
Not saying it would be all or any of these.
Saying it will be a "why didn't we think of, or do, that" obvious step.
And just insufficient enough to keep the haters happy.

If I ever hypothetically made another woman genuinely uncomfortable in a restroom, chances are I'd remove myself from the situation at least until she had left, that's a concession I'd make to *her*, not you. The discussion came up at my university a while back and the most telling thing was that the only people who took issue with trans people using appropriate loos were men, I wonder why that is.

Photoshop Elements 4.0 is a capable replacement for Photoshop CS2 for a lot of people, even professionals. It depends on what you're doing with it.

Pages 2 is a useful release but it's not final. To discount it or iWork totally is not reasonable.

But Pages is not a professional replacement of Word and iWork is not a professional replacement of Office. 4200rpm is dog-slow. Go for the 5400rpm drive and use the money you saved for a nice big FW800 external HDD.
Kinda pissed that I just bought 2 external FW400 drives 2 weeks ago. Hesitated on the FW800 but I didn't see myself buying the 17". Today I got the new C2D and it comes with FW800. Grrr....:(

The current 3GS with the cheapest plan you can get from AT&T would cost you 90% of what the same plan and a 4 would cost you.
Not sure what's amazing about that, and I'm pretty sure that when the 5 is out, the 4 will end up costing roughly the same.

I don't know if you know how math works, but there are no discounts for not having a subsidy. You don't factor in the cost of service, that is not relevant. You will pay that regardless of the handset device. My regular iPhone would cost that.
What about someone with multiple accounts? The additional line is $10 a month. You failed to consider all the factors in your math.
For people buying an expensive smartphone getting the 3GS is a good deal. Notice how they sell more of them then any other smartphone besides the iPhone 4, even when Android handset makers give away their product.

Mmm .. no. The reason you don't see it much is because XP SP2 is pretty rock solid as far as operating systems go.
If a machine reboots when you're typing an email, then folk would still register this as a crash.
He was talking about seeing blue screens. So it doesn't matter how many people would register it as a crash....they still wouldn't see a blue screen. That was the point he was trying to make.
Also, just as a side note...it took them three years to create the version you're talking about. I'm not stating this for argument�it's only here as additional info.

I know I'm going to get labeled as a mac zealot and linux apologist for asking this, but isn't it weird how the project spent ALMOST ALL OF ITS TIME looking for ways to crucify OS X/Linux, but they avoided MS like the plague, as if they were afraid to make them look bad?

I'm not a big fan of technical analysis, since it tends to ignore everything but share price over time. In my experience technical analysts are wrong as often as they are right.
